Another of Ron's textural pieces that was years in the making. Codex was composed in 2000 and given a dark acrylic finish. After it's first couple of showings (including a special exhibit at the Allen Center during the Houston hosted Super Bowl) Ron began experimenting with different coloration. The piece was placed outdoors in the studio court yard for months which gave it a richer patina and weather staining. Codex was sold at it's next gallery viewing.
